There goes nothing & uh… What?! Another Figma review?! Why u no review another Rider stuffs anymore? Well, It’s not that I don’t want to review another Rider stuffs but right now… Nah, let’s just screw up about that… This time, my review is all about Figma Tsukihi Araragi from anime series of Nisemonogatari. My reason? Well, who can’t resist about that barefoot feature? Nope, actually before ordering her I already lost my hope on getting Figma Aya Kagura Morning Coffee Ver. for my Figma barefoot parts, so I ended up ordering her but now… I already found my Aya Kagura Morning Coffee Ver. But, it’s okay for me because barefoot isn’t just my only target.. Firstly, Tsukihi Araragi is the younger sister of both Koyomi Araragi and Karen Araragi, and the youngest member of the Araragi family. She is the younger half of the Tsuganoki Second Junior High School’s Fire Sisters. Ok, make it good & concise, because this is a Figure Review not an anime character’s review. If you want more informations of her, Google is your best pal to find out… Figma Tsukihi has a yellow greenish colored box with a dark brown bird motives, & light blue Figma word & product number series lines. However, the right side of her box was colored purple blueish & white coloring, which kinda weird for me.. The product number is 156 which Tsukihi is marked to be a standard release. Ok, I’m going to investigate her accessories now.
There you go she has 2 extra face plates, alternate hair, pan lid, knife, awl, extra barefeet, stand set, & extra Interchangeable hand with special 2 hands parts. Pretty funny & interesting, aren’t they?
Tsukihi is a young girl with black hair, & she wears a sunny side-up egg-shaped hairclip on the right side of her hair. She dons a light blue colored yukata with gray flower motives, yellow obi belt, & black colored flip-flops except the feet’s clip which colored light blue resembles to her yukata. & incase you wanna know the color of her panty, it is white… Very common color for every Figma girls…
Tsukihi has a black-dark blueish colored hair, & her 1st hair which was already attached to her directly from the box was her short hair, which she used to be like that in most of her anime appearance. Personally, I totally hate that shortstack style & I’m not gonna use that hair anymore, because it makes her looked dorky & boyish… 2nd hair is the longer version, which made her looked more feminine but, not good enough since it’s still short for me. Fortunately, due to her habit of changing her hairstyle in anime, this is also the reasons why GSC provided an alternate hair.. & she has a weird antenna like hair thingy or we call it ahoge… To change the hair sculpt you just simply pluck out Tsukihi’s default hair & insert the alternate one to her neck joint. Then attach one of her faceplates that you wish to her hair sculpt. She comes with three expressions: a standard smile with the eyeballs looking to the right, an sulking expression, & upset expression. Well, most of her faceplates got a red marks resembling “I” & “N”.. Showing she always blushed her face… Her upset expression shows her open mouth, it’s good but I find it rather plain somehow. Well, maybe it’s just me since I’ve already saw & admires Inori’s singing expression alot.. Lastly, she’s got a blue with a shade of gray irises in here, while in the anime her eyeballs was Black with dark gray shade. Somehow with that blue eyes, Tsukihi feels a little different from her anime counterpart, atleast that’s what I thought….
As I said previously about Tsukihi’s appearance… Physically, Tsukihi is more like a little girl, presumably around 13-14 years old since she’s a junior high school student.. Her outfit is pretty simple so far but, a Figma with yukata design isn’t something we can see everyday, right? Since, she’s the very 1st Figma who wore yukata(atleast, what I know so far…). The sculpt of the yukata’s fold also feels pretty simple for me, but I’m loving her obi belt’s sculpt. & Tsukihi’s articulations is pretty good so far, she can bend up/down & even swivel her waist like other Figmas… Unfortunately, the biggest problem is on her lower yukata’s outfit which completely blocking her to open wide her legs… Although there’s a straight cut on the back of her body, it’s still didn’t help pretty well. So, don’t ever try to do something stupid on moving her legs… Tsukihi’s flip flops are too high, on her heels.. For me, whenever I tried to pose her with that flip flops she easily falls.. & Tsukihi’s yukata has a long & wide sleeves(as you can see from side & back view), overall they looked good, right? Unfortunately, I have to be a little dissagree with that, they only looked good whenever her arms fully stretched. While she bends her arms they looked pretty awkward(as you can see on some photos I tooked), it’s like she broke her sleeves, but what to do it’s a PVC made not a fabric.
Alright one of her extra features is her extra feet to display her barefoot. Well, she looks alot better barefeet imo, & the good thing is she can balance her body while standing without display stand.. Unlike those flip flops mode which kinda troubles me, & I’ll be sticking with her barefoot features from now on. Well, judging from her feets, they’re not different from Aya Kagura ones.
The kitchen knife, pan lid and awl she takes out when angry are all included… Well, what you see is what you get & what you get is what you need, right? Each accessories was included their own hand parts to hold them properly. They’re all looked great, although they’re incredibly small. & I think, that pan lid really need a pan of it’s own… It’s just doesn’t feel perfect for me, a pan lid without pan.
Figma Tsukihi also comes a posable figma stand is included, which allows various poses to be taken.. & the stand has extra joint connector to her display hole, much like Shana & Inori’s Stand. However, I think the stand still works perfectly for me without that extra joint connector….
Tsukihi’s default hand part was a pair of fistful hand parts, the extras are outstreched wide open palm, proximate outstretched palm, a pair of holding hand parts, a pair of hands for holding her accessories, & lastly a pair of extra linking hands for Karen Araragi. The right hand to hold is only perfect for holding her awl for me, while inserting the kitchen knife I have to put quite an effort since it’s hard & be cautious on it. This hand has no hinge joint, so you cannot bend her hand up/down. The Kitchen Knife was actually perfect to be inserted to both of her default holding hand parts, but the instructions said that the kitchen knife need to be inserted to that right holding hand. The left one is for holding her pan lid & that’s it. Unlike the right one the left hand has hinge joint. An extra linking hands for Figma Karen Araragi was also included, but since I don’t have Figma Karen so I used my Figma Nene for the photo shown.. Why don’t you buy your own Figma Karen? Milk my duds, I have no interest on Karen… & why must Figma Nene? Unfortunately, that extra linking hands aren’t that friendly to be inserted into my other Figma’s wrists hole… Only Figma Nene that I was able to insert them easily…
Well, not bad at all overall, I enjoyed alot somehow although I was either satisfied & dissapointed on her… Tsukihi by far is the 1st Figma series who wore yukata, & the 2nd figma who have barefoot features after Aya Kagura’s Morning Coffee Ver. Is she recommended to have? Well, I can say between “yes” & “no” so far. But, I’ll leave it to you after reading this to say “yes” or “no” on the overall… However, if you’re looking for a barefoot features for your custom Figma, she’s your best choice. Since, Tsukihi is a standard release & she’s not that pricey to get unless she gets hard to find…
Pros: I overally, happy enough on her… So I didn’t ordered her just for that barefoot features only. I loved on how GSC made her articulations on her trunk, she can bend or swivel her upper body with no problem… Accessories like kitchen knife & awl was so fun to use, & I can use for a Close Quarter Combat scenes for my figmas. & Tsukihi’s simple yukata design can be perfect enough for a simple custom figma girls allowing them to wear yukata. However, you have to notice Tsukihi is a little girl so she has a small breast & she’s short. So, if you want a sexy gal with huge breast & taller legs, Tsukihi is not your choice…
Cons: To insert the knife kitchen into her right holding hand part is way too hard, because the hole is too small for the knife’s holder. Whenever I used her feet with flip flops she couldn’t balance herself very well, she always falls down whenever I tried to make her stand without display stand. The lower yukata is a total obstacles to make her sit or move her legs wide open… Lastly, when I make her holding the pan lid, the pan lid sometimes fell easily…
Small Parts: 3/5
Accuracy sculpt: 5/5
Now, you know you can’t judge book by it’s cover….
